What is your favorite/best metal band of all time and why?

I'll start, IMO In Flames is the best metal band around. They've been around for a really long time now and have influenced many modern metal bands. The way they incorporate Scandinavian folk music into their metal is really unique(was really unique, now many finnish/swedish bands do this) and they basically invented melodic death metal.

Best album: Whoracle
Best song: Moonshield, Man Made God, oh and Dialogue with the Stars ( their all tied ) Ahh what the hell, all their songs are great.

Their best selling album to date, and the reason I don't listen to them anymore.

Ricky Martin is a little too hardcore for me, the way he uses killer fast double bass drumming and drop c guitar tuning is just too much, and those pig squeels! OMG the pig squeels!!!
