Are relays interchangeable?

I'm having starting problems and I want to rule out the relay, can I use the AC relay in the starter relay's location or are they different? they look the same to me.

if it looks the same, then it will work long enough to help you diag the car
 
are there any part #s? i believe relays are rated on max amps. if they are different either it'll be overrated or underrated. nothing will happen if its overrated but if its under rated then it'll melt. generally though if its quick you won't have a problem.
 
isis is cool stuff. i had an isis fuel pump, it took a dump and the guys at enjuku over-nighted me a new one with no questions asked.

due to that customer service, i am buying set of isis suspension arms today from them.
