hey quick question,


in the first vid at around 30 secs he comes in and does that really tight u turn.

what exactly is he doing in car? cause that is what im having the most trouble with. the coming in fast then a tight slow speed transition. maybe ka just cant handle it idk

Actually when we did that i didnt even have an ebrake installed in the car.

What works for me and my setup is just to come in really fast kick the car sideways and then ride the brakes while the car is sideways. Since i have such large brakes up front and my front bias is so retarded when i touch the brakes while the car is sideways and am not on the power it gives the car more angle while slowing it down, then when im going slow enough i to make the turn i get back on the power and keep going.

Thats why in some of the clips you can see me locking the front tires because although the car is sideways, im not on the power, im actually braking.

Now that i have an ebrake i shouldnt have to do that anymore.

I dont know if you can understand by the way i wrote it, but thats what works for me and the way the car is setup.

Btw the car is making 440whp/400tq.

In a normal car you would do the exact same thing, but have an ebrake there for peace of mind, and to correct any hint of understeer.
 
i have to practice braking then cause i never do it while drifting. but ive never needed to either with the spots that we have here.

Not even tryin to be a dick and talk about my v8 bro, but its just nutty. At round one of SWD I was doing this one link connection like nothing, that doods in 400whp trubo cars were struggling to connect.
 
agreed on all counts there have been many times where i thought i wasnt gonna make a turn and i have just layed on it and hit it on the spot.

edit i think it has more to do with when you go v8 you go up in tire size typically of course then by proxy you have more traction.

I went from a 235/40 maxxis to a damn 255/40 nexen. sooooo. hahaha.

I think its just the instant damn power. like, no matter what power.
 
try some 275 or 295s lol... you will love them... soooo fast.

trust me, Id love to be on a 275/40/17 with a cam and heads. Nice grippy tires with a fat sidewall for extreme lateral grip.

butttttt, right now my car is still kinda crushed in the back so I cant fit anything bigger than a 265/35/18(dont have 18"s) and I dont have money to buy a cam and heads. haha
