anyone with A+ certification?

i know a few people on here probably have their A+ certification. I'm looking into getting it, but I've heard some people say it's not worth it, and I've seen more then my share of people with "A+" cert that don't know shit. My question is, is it worth the trouble of studying for, and paying to take the exam? Or am I better off with another cert?
 
Its just a test so plenty of people will pass without knowing dick about the real world but when you're getting a job, it looks good to have any certification. If you think you already know shit, just get a book and self study for the tests to see how you do before investing in a class or something.
 
dude A+ certification is a joke i didn't study at all and passed it sotned out of my mind. LMAO. But on the other hand i was working for best buy at the time and when i got my certification i went from 13 an hour to 22 an hour so its a plus. I say go for it.

Out of joke, I start FAU in Jan so I just wanted to do something in the meantime; start picking up certificates to make the resume look a little better. I wanted to hit the MCSE but a friend told me to start with A+. He couldn't advice of a place to do this in Broward cause he is in Mia. I will inquire BCC about all this but I thought maybe someone here has better advice.
 
Im working in an I.t. Dept over at my job their pushing me to get it.. ( then ill get $ reimburst) but they told my basically what Post # 2 said. lol

Anyway I was Looking at McFadder the Class is $115.00 excluding the test and its a 9 week course. doesnt seem bad to me.
