ok question. I am looking at getting a Iphone. With unlocking it, will it work with the same plan i have for my current phone? or does unlocking it just allow it to work with different networks?

current plan - SK3 plan with unlimited text/internet.

Sorry for the newb questions.

ALL newbz welcome...

....your phone plan will work with an unlocked iPhone... but your sidekick internet plan will not....

..you will have to drop yr sidekick plan and opt for the t-mo unlimited internet plan (most recomended)


or you can be cheap and drop the side kick plan and keep your phone plan.... (u can only use free wifi then)


or you can be a lil less cheep and opt for the 5.99 t-zones plan, which allows you access where t-mo wifi is avail, almost nowhere)

[last 2 still not recommended, IMO]

^ hes right.. i thought about doing it.. but at the end of the day its all most not worth it. if your gonna get an iphone wait till they have a 3g version(not sure if it came out yet) then just jump into at&t.. tmobile's internet isnt that fast either and i hear youtube doesnt work with the network.

Yea but i wonder what AT&T's prices are for service. Since me and the wife seem to have a really good plan right now.:)

You can call Tmobile and they hack it for you. They obviously don't want people to leave their company so they're willing to go through the steps with you to hack it. My friend did it and his works great.
