yeah baby. those were called formula1's for dirt roads.
there were some legend's on video as well.
Hannu Mikkola
Markku Alen
Timo Salonen
Henry Toivonen (actually died in groub-b car and that was the reason they canselled group-b)
and Michel Mouton the only woman ever to win wrc rally.
and a swedish guy but who cares about them :D
(stig blomqvist sounds like hand drill or something)

and may I say.
one of these guys is actually local south floridian.

yes sir.
Hannu Mikkola lives in Florida and i bought his old magnsium brake calibers from mazda that he was testing to be wrc car (newer made it)
i currently have them on my mercedes:eek:

Great video, they have defintely got some big brass ones to do that. The glory days of Group B rallying. Lancia Delta S4 was twin charged and was awesome until the crash of the top drivers for that team.

Even though regulations probably wont allow it to come back, I say DAMN THE MAN!

Here's some more Group B goodness for you :)

Part 2:

Tribute to the Audi Quattro S1:

Some incar footage of Walther Röhl driving Quattros mainly in Portugal. Notice how much he has to work to keep the boost up as the turbocharger technology was so far from what it is today:

And the most emotional one, tribute to Henri Toivonen who was killed at rally Corsica in 1986. Also includes helicopter footage of the fatal crash, so if you're feint hearted look away from 4:15 onwards...

That car is sweet. I would much rather have a Lancia Delta Integrale though or the Audi. Nontheless good find.

Yeah I agree on both those two choices, I am more partial to the Audi Quattro S1 more than anything. I have been looking online for one and found one in Colorado for 15k and two more in Canada. Seeing that they only made 200 or so in the USA and I think 99 in Canada, they are extremely rare. I also like the Lancia Delta.
