5-speed swap blues

So, I'm finally done installing everything on the coupe, have the transmission in with a resurfaced flywheel, new clutch, pp, etc. Installed the master and slave, jumpered the wire near the fusebox to get the car to run, and swapped the ECU [it runs well with both ECUs but I put the auto one back on just for the sake of me maybe missing some wiring on the 5sp ECU to get the car to run properly].

My problem is, when the car was in the air, it seemed like it would run fine.. I ran it as if I would on the ground. However, when I put the wheels on it and lowered it, the car will not go into gear. Am I missing something? Might the hydraulics need more bleeding? Do I need to wire anything else?

Any ideas?

checked it out just now and the clutch pedal is all spongy and near the floor again, gonna try swapping the slave with the Zs just to check it out--I have a feeling and hope that's it.

More info on ur shop, Abe?

probably a stupid question, but

is this normal? it doesn't look it to me, others that have looked at it disagree:

changing out the slave with a new one just in case, and going to bleed it now.. edited the post with the pic to show how the slave is sitting on the fork..

if its still the same problem, then it needs to be bled properly same thing happened on my hatch, make sure the clutch pedal has a firm feel to it, then you can adjust it however you want

bled it like mad.. changed the slave... it finally goes into gear and moves, but going into gear isn't too smooth and it sounds grindy like a mofo

Master is fine; adjusted the pedal, tightened down some bolts, bled some more, added some tranny fluid and it ran better, drove it up and down the street..

It's noisy when taking off and when going into second.. Also feels kind of underpowered [but maybe that's a single cam thing :ugh:].. Taking it to Festival soon ...

Do you have the top bolt in the pedal assembly. If the fire wall is flexing the pedal won't be going all the way in. Hence the grinding.

^it's on and tight..

Tested it out today and the grinding seems to have gone away [tightened down the master into the firewall and adjusted the pedal all the way], feels like it engages midway through the pedal now lol, just need to get used to driving it. Thanks for the collective advice.
