3sgte, 20v, 4agze

i figured out sort of what im planning on doing. im going to go ahead with the 3sgte motor. i want to know if anybody has done this before. also if a non turbo supra trans will fit for this motor also. i have my supra rear end already so thats no problem. i know its gonna be way too much than i expect im in for it cuz i want to start my corolla project as soon as possible and i dont care if it takes years and years or how badly it dents my wallet i just want the baddest toyota out there. well if anybody has info let me know aight.

All motor Ka custom mounts for motor and tranny as well as driveshaft and their cheap motors (in price) to pick one up.. Find some one with a tig that knows how to weld steel and aluminum and you'll be set .. And you don't have the WORRY that a boosted motor comes with.. And it's not hard it fairly easy... well thats what I would do.

yes its been done a few times and each person had to make their own bellhousing engine mounts and who know what else because neither the T-50 nor the W-series trannys bolt up. also look into what clutch you would have to use.
Passing the spring mounts and accs from the sr5 rear end onto the supra isn't too hard, but prob expensive unless you can weld. good luck. club4ag has a review on this, you might wanna read it up if you haven't already.

and i wouln't be the baddest toyota out there...FL price goes to Mark in tampa w/ a fully done up SR20det ae86...3sgTTTe still wouln't beat that :D

lol well then ill have the 2nd baddest toyota out there then. and yes my uncle is a mechanic and he knows how to weld so we will be doing all the work on my car. thanks for the input.

That question is useless Bladder, He should just get a B16. It is the greatest thing to ever happen to imports. I'm gonna swap a B16B2 into a Z32TT.

OMG! LMAO! :D THAT WAS THE BEST! You are the man Nelvis. My suggestion is 20 valve if it's going to be a strict drift car. If you are going to drive it daily, you want a GZE, more torque so that way a minivan wont slap you off the light (normal driving of course). The 20 valve's extra valve in each cylinder make it breathe more, but that only works better in high rpms. It's like the 1969 Ford Boss 302, it used a 2.19 inch intake valve on a 302 cid (5.0 liter) engine. The engine was too small for that size valve and it was crappy driving it in the street. So in 1970, Ford change the intake valve to a smaller one so it would be better to drive on the street, but they sacrificed the top end, and so it wasn't so great on the track as it used to be. So be thoughful about what you are going to choose. Torque, or high end power. And i'm sorry if i got too technical. I hope you liked your bed time story.

I say 4agze. I dont think the 3sgte will make you the baddest toyota out there. Maybe if you had a 1uzfe and boosted that. Then Id say your the baddest. Or maybe even a 2jzgte. Anyway, I think your going to get fed up with all the problems and modifications youd have to make with the 3sgte swap. But, I support you and hope you reach your goal.

i know some guys back in maryland that have a coupe with fender flares old school SSR mesh and a 1jz....i am so jealous of this car.....and please don't talk **** about honda motors it just shows that you are a prick. s2000 motor in an 86 is perfect for me.
