300ZX Tire size on a 240SX

I just did the 5 lug conversion on my S13 and putting Z rims on it and was wondering what's the biggest tire size i can put on there? somewhere i read i cant go any bigger then 205/55 without 5mm spacers. Is this true? any and all info would be great thanks.

those are like 7 or 7.5" wide rims. You can go 245 or 255 if you wanted, but if you be cool with ultra tight JDM stretch then its gotta be a 185
 
Front:16x7.5 +45 offset 225/50/16
Rear:16x8.5 +35 offset 245/45/16
^STOCK oem tire size for twin turbo models, the n/a's got the same 7.5 wide front and rear. I wouldnt go any wider then that tire size unless you want them to look retarded?

I really want to do a 5 lug conversion and run the 8.5 width front and rear with 225/50/16 tires all around. but there hard to find and you have to buy two sets of wheels so it sucks.
 
7.5 +45 WILL RUB
8.5 +35 MAY RUB depends on camber/suspension. but can be made to fit but wtf, just get a 15mm spacer and your perfect.

yeah a 245 on a 7.5 wide rim does look really dumb
 
^thats too tall, about an inch taller overall diameter tire then the stock 205/60/16, Stay with 225/50/16 and even that tire size is slightly taller then stock but not by much.
 
YES for the 7.5wide up front need at least a 5-10 mm spacer depending on suspension set-up, for 8.5 to run up frontyou need at least a 5-10mmspacer also.
 
i personally have 7 z32 rims, 5 are na (16x 7.5) n 2 TT's (16x8.5)

i had 225's all around and YOU CANNOT RUN 225's IN THE FRONT WITH COILOVERS!!!!!!
THEY RUB AND POP!!!! also you cannot run 215's even with 5mm spacers cause they also rub

you can only run 205's in the front if you have 5mm spacers. so go invest in some

when i put the na's in the rear (16x7.5) i run 225's with no problem

my tt's (16x8.5) are running 205's also stretched to hell and they look good, i threw 5mm spacers in the back just for fun, but it didnt need it, even with 225's. the only place you run into problems with are in the front.

also tires are harder to find for 16's and there arent that many sizes available.

i was running fuzion hri's and now i have fuzion zri's. the zri's are great tires n cheap, great rain tread though.
