300zx lsd how to install into 240

300zx vlsd HELP

I bought a NA 300zx lsd how do I install it onto my 240 and how hard is it to install?
Can I use the 300zx axles?

You need J30 5 Bolt axles or JDM 180sx 5 bolt axles. Its east to install in a s14, if your putting it into a s13 your going to need to change the back plate with the open diff back plate. No you can not use the 300zx axles, their to long.
 
i used one of the 300zx axles and put a 240sx output shaft on the driver side and used the 240 axle, actually amrit did it for me,he has the same setup on his car plus i got pix. so no need to buy new axles really

1.yes you can use your stock diff cover into the 300zx na pumkin, but is poinless because the 300zx will fit your car w/out problem (the only diffence is you wont use the breather hose) and you can get rid of the abs sensors.
2. you must keep the 300zx half shafts (your stocks wont work in a vlsd at least not the right)
3. yes, you need the j30 (1995 and before) axels
4. you need to replace the metallic dust covers in the j30s and use your stocks (in the spindle side) :bigthumbu
