180-200 mph speedo

Ummm you do know a lot of cars can hit 155mph from factory..... what's wrong hitting those speeds? Bikes do it every fucking where. You think drifting is any safer? moron.... as long as he stays away from traffic and does his own thing like on I-75 late night or 27TH. relax, Hypocrite....


you probably drift with someone in the passenger seat.... near trees..
 
The limits of the stock tranny and final drive setup won't allow you to get to those speeds.....on a ka your looking at topping out at around 155mph with the 4.08 gearing and at about 165mph with the j30 rear end at about 6500rpms.....so yea i don't think your going to see 200mph. Also I don't think that the s13 really has the aerodynamics to handle those speeds unless some serious down force is added into the equation which in turn would add more drag and slow you down even further..............

I have a Vq37, i know i'll be close to 180mph, and of course you need to increase aerodynamics, suspension, braking, and downforce..... A wing and Under panels, rear and front diffuser should do the job, also lowering it. good tires. A lot comes into play. Nice steering ratio also. don't want to tap the steering wheel to much at those speed!!! :eek:
 
I still don't know why you want to go 180mph, hell I don't think its safe to be going over 100mph on ANY public road at ANY time of the night, its just not safe for the driver or any other people on the road.......if you want to do those speeds do it at a track going around in an Oval so you don't endanger anyone else!

I NEVER EVER drift my Z, drifting warps the body and breaks shit.

drifting is done in a enclosed area not on the free way.

name me one japanese car that could go 150mph BACK IN THE 80'S that was a production model.

I am pretty sure a GTR is Japanese last time i checked. 370Z? all hit over 113 my friend....

the GT-R has a special ECU thats connected via satellite, it can't go over 120mph unless the ECU detects it's on the track (race track), then the restriction is lifted. this is only for the JDM model.

I've done over 170 about 100 times and 150+ in turns. And haven't hurt anybody but the bugs that hit my helmet. Some people do it safely and some people shouldn't be allowed over 65. the only problem is when you find out you aren't one of those people who can do it safely it's usually too late.

If you at any point in time learn how to read and comprehend what other people are saying, I said that all new production cars IN JAPAN are limited to 113mph. Either way the fact remains that you should not be doing those speeds on public roads and if you choose to be irrational I hope you get pulled over for it and get your car Impounded and you drivers license revoked!

This thread is funny. I don't really have a problem with people driving fast, but as long as it's a fast car. It seems safer if you can get to 160 quick, and slow right back down. Oh and by fast car I mean something that I'm pretty sure this guy doesn't have.

you my friend need to understand that your cars gearing limitations will not allow you to go as fast as 180mph...period. I don't care how fast your shit is, unless you plan on using a different tranny or a diff with a 3.3 final drive you will never see those speeds in your 240sx and if you do choose to do either one of those things your acceleration is going to suck ASS due to the gearing.....stop being retarded.
