17X9 in front on s13...

^ NO, I HATE when people post shit they know NOTHING about, the only reason why you have your wheels is cause you saw the advertisement on fuckin EBAY!!!!! and you and all the other stupid asses are running tiny ass 17x7 up front and 9 in the rear for ABSOLUTLY NO REASON, ONLY because the retard people at sportmax are too afraid to make a decent 17inch wheel that fits up front, without spacers and dont weigh 25 or more pounds. now they do make a 16x8 wheel that sits nice and flush WITHOUT spacers and weigh only about 16lbs, and will handle ALOT better then the 17x7F and 17x9R set-up <that just cause MORE understeering issuses for S13s unless you run spcaers up front and run the same size tires all around, but YOU all you care about are looks and going on ebay to find the newst HOT tokyo drift CRAP that sells like crazy to stupid ass ricers that THINK they know everything!!! FUNCTION OVER FORM!!

They come in 17x9 +35 offset, that wont work in the front the rim has to high of an offset my suggestion is running +25 - +15 depending on tire size, I KNOW for a fact 17x9 +25 225/45/17 tires do fit with stock strut style suspension, just cant run too much camber or it WILL hit the strut...

My suggestion is run 215-225/45/17 tires 235/40/17 will work also, but at LEAST a 10-20mm front spacer same for the rear,

Me, I would run 17x9 +15 and +10 in the rear with 215/45/17 tires all around.

i think width of the wheel tells you how far 'in' the wheel will sit, in reference to the offset. like 7" and 9" will both sit the same to the fender (in same offsets), but the 9" will be 2" closer to the suspension....

someone plz correct me if im wrong, im not an offset/wheel fitment guru...

We fit 18 by 9.5 +22 offset on the front of an non widebody s13, with a 265/35/18

^ wow i cant belive you acctually read that or understand it, BTW along with the other thread about bringing back old threads, this is a perfect example, someone could come in as a new member and maybe add to the thread to make it more understandable or correct any mistakes i may have made!!

the thing is you spend how much on the sportmaxs? then you have to spend more on wheel spacers, so now you have a HEAVY wheels along with wheel spacers to add to it, 17inch brakes shuld be on order....now if you dont care about anything else other then looks then go for it its your money, im just letting you know what your up for.

im not a big fan of the 5zigen FN01RC's but they are decetnly light have 4-lug 17x9 +20 offset which is good for the S13s and there about the same price you would have spent going witht he sportmaxs and spacers.

I really haven't read through yours but I use this https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

the conversion chart is a little off, it assumes your out board flange to be 1/4 inch thick, but for some wheels probably most its is only as thick as the material of the wheel at the flange locations. so the chart is a solid 1/4 inch off(the back space numbers up top should be 1/4 inch smaller).

oh and this site is also pretty cool http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

First off the NOT BUMPING OLD THREADS was directed ti the idiot who bumped Mannys old car and Panchos old car just to say hey I remember that...

Tech Threads are 100 % OK to be brought back from the dead!

BTW S13 Slide knows his shit when it comes to wheels and offset and tires

i'm not ganna spend anymoney on sportmax wheels. i've been had a set for a while but someone that has the same 7"in the front and 9" in the rear wants to trade me his rear 17x9 for my front 17x7. i'm not planning to spend a dime. he wants all 17x7 and i wouldn't mind all 17x9 but before i do the trade i would like to know if it fits. thanks for the info guys. i justed wanted to know if they would fit.

17x9 + 15 is about perfect for the front. Couple with 235/40/17's for great grip and a low stance.

oh well screw it, i would do it, just save your money and get spacers....but without spacers the 9 wont fit, but all you need is a 10-20mm front spacer for now, so you can buy the spacer for now then later get the spacer for the rear....

Yea i want to run that size so bad....arnt you running that on the front of your S13? and i think 9.5 wide in the rear? i really want to run 9.5 wide front and rear +19F and +14R with 235/40/17 tires all around....
