trust me its the maf, when the ecu losses connection with the maf it wont let the car rev past 3. either bad connection or bad maf. disconnect the maf while the car is on and if the motor dose not react to the maf being disconnected then the ecu is not getting a signal. to check if its a bad maf...

damn dude im very sorry to hear all of this, i sold ya the diff but we both spun it and it spun freely:confused: if it was messed up to the point it was grinding it would of locked up with just a hand turning it. the fact that the drain plug is missing sounds like the shop messed something up...
