most the of the pics are soft. press the shutter speed half way so the camera focuses on the subject

both are very respected brands. I suggest playing with both at a store. the nikon is larger and fits better in my hands. I have the XT. I would suggest the XTI over the XT. not because its newer, but of the size of the lcd screen (1.8). it didnt bother me at 1st, but when I used a XTI. I noticed...

wow you lucky SOB. pics are looking better. press the up arrow on your camera and the ISO screen should come up. try shooting in maunal and play around witht the settings

pictures came out rather sharp. but in the 1st picture, your white balance is off. im not sure how to change it on the IS but read the manual about WB. the 3rd one has the best natural color
