I believe it uses the ignition signal to limit the rpm's. So it recieves the rpm signal and based off of that it grounds the ignition signal wire causing it to not fire the coils. It bases everything off the ecu due to it being located in the car not the bay.

an lca is a lower control arm. the flca is for the front and rlca is for the rear.

thanks for the help i have come to find out the egi relay(ecu relay) is having trouble switching on. i replaced the relay with a spare and its been running fine, but occastionaly it wont start and by either unplugging and plugging back in the egi relay or jumping it allows it to start up and run...

so i checked those plugs and they had continuity threw both of them. today i also checked all the grounds on the ecu and they all were good. i got the car running today by jumping the egi pump relay and the egi relay. the car ran very rough and the exhaust was slightly white(sign of running...
