Purchasing it for a buddy of mine.
He was very nice at first, said he just came back from Iraq (thx for what ur doing for our country regardless of this sales experience)
Weird part? He shipped the SAFC out before we sent payment. Now I've never had that happen, but we thought, "AWESOME, great seller/forum member"

Received the safc 2, wired it in today, the screen does not turn on but the knobs light up. 3 different forum members were with us when we tested it, and all of our wiring was spot on. Opened up the case, the screen is fried. (capacitor on the board).

Seller claims it was in working order and must be a "shipping issue"

FUCK THAT, gimme my money dude.

just buy shit like that new, dootie......anything with parts that can go bad deserves to be purchased from a retailer....... because say it did work and 2 days later it fried, you would be in the same situation..... anyway I hope he has a heart and works something out with you
 
It doesn't fry unless its connected wrong, or for example...if he removed it from his car with the battery connected...and just cut the wires (which were all equal length so its a huge possibility).
I've bought these used multiple times in the past...
I bought an avcr and an safc from dooms before i even moved here and they worked great...
A "shipping issue?" Seriously?

Spoke with MiamiGetLow. "They" received the safc as a trade, and never installed it.
DOri_FC09 told us he had it installed and it was in great working order.

I don't give a fuck now...I just want my money. No "other afc" no "I'll find u someone to fix it" no "I'll see what i can do" just my fucking money. Paypal claim filed.

I talk to you friend and I did my best, before sending it out i did test it and made sure it was in working order before I sent it out. I've sold items before and I'm always helping out anyone in need. Bad mouth me all you want, i have done my part to help out in anyway I could. I have no reason to fuck anyone over nor have the heart to. I called paypal already and have taken to the next level. We can save face, end this childish bad mouthing and talk like men or we can stay on this site and keep this game going. At the end of it I don't care. I have done my best to talk to you and help out in any way I can but items are sold as is. To call paypal an tell then I sold you an item that wasn't what you got is only asking for no one to help you sir.
 
For the record I'm still willing to help you out in anyway I can. If this doesn't get fixed I will do my best to refund you the money and leave all this behind us. Dont take anything I said as a threat, I am simply stating how this is going about all the wrong way.

I thought about it when I asked to pay the extra cash for tracking but I really didn't think it would have been an issue. Once again I'm very sorry for this and I'm willing to work something out.

Here is what I wrote TO YOU on Paypal....
Buyer: As per our text messages, the Apexi SAFCII you sold me is defective. This is not a defect that could have occurred during shipping, the capacitor on the board is fried, not a shipping issue. I will not take it up with USPS, I will deal with paypal.Please send me my refund in full and I will ship you this defective item.

I appreciate your offers to assist. Once again, I don't want someone to "fix" this one. I am going about this "the wrong way" because when we texted u, u said you cannot refund us the money. At this point ALL I want is my money back. I'm going to pick up an SAFC ONE today to tune this car...because as we told u, the only thing needed to get this car driving is the tune...

Just refund me my $ and lets get this shit over with...

^^ I had someone file a claim on me on Paypal because the "used firesuit" i sold was not new and too small. I said your stupid, I showed him pics of dirty spots and told him the size before he bought it. And then he did that. Turned out once I, the seller, responded to the Paypal dispute, paypal responded by saying that

PRIVATE SALES ARE NOT COVERED BY THE DISPUTE FILING ON PAYPAL.
ONLY SALES ON EBAY ARE COVERED AND THAT IT IS UP TO US TO SETTLE IT.

I had already deposited the money, and I didn't refund anything. No reason to, I didn't lie. So just fyi, that dispute shit aint gonna do nothing, no matter how much evidence or who is right and wrong.
 
Thats fine, if thats the case and I do not get my refund, I will file with my bank, who will take the money back...forcing paypal to put his account in the negative...It's a shitty thing that I've had done to me as well...but I figured I wouldn't be a dick from the get go...

Its $150.00. I work almost 80 hours a week, 150 dollars isn't that big of a deal. it's a big deal when a seller tells me "it was working great in my car" and then his friend says " we never tried it, we just got it as a trade for some stuff" and the item is fucked...and his friend starts explaining to me who they got the shit from...
I work my ass off for my money, if ANYONE is going to waste it...its going to be me (Or my wife)...not someone selling me some broke ass shit online (knowingly or unkowingly).
