Man I love these discussions...Always so heated. You always have the person from another country saying how much America sucks...and ya know, most of the time they are right. Our country does do some dirty fucked up shit that none of us really care to know of.....but either way...you want out? Good...GTFO my taxes.

actually they overcharge in the States because someone needs to pay for the R&D (research and development) years of money wasted in trial and error, and the only reason the over charge here is because other countries where they sell them can't pay them so they tend to raise prices according the the possibility of getting paid. (i do not support or condone pharmaceutical companies in their expenses. i dont like them at all)

I love how a private company can CHOOSE to focus their energy/time/money/resources into the r&d of a drug only to be lambasted when they want to turn a profit from it. Especially when one considers that when there's no profit to be made, there's no incentive for private enterprises to develop these drugs in the first place. Its also quite humorous that the mainstream media likes to focus blame on "exorbitant marketing costs." Are you fucking kidding? Advertising alone generally costs companies far more than development and manufacture of any product. If the media is so concerned, they should be offering up free advertising space in their news reports and/or publications. Blame America for not regulating the industry or providing funds towards drugs all you want. The truth is that the most important medicines are readily available and accessible to everyone/anyone living here which is more than you can say about most countries, developed or not. The system is not perfect but nobody is telling the real story (complete story?) or fully disclosing the other side either, but rather only giving the dirty bits about here and the grassy green highlights of over there.
