i was just WONDERING how high i can turn up the boost before my motor goes BOOM, i heard its not good to go over 12 psi cuz its bad for the turbo, but thats not a big deal since its geting changed soon, i just wanna know how much the motor will hold with stick injectors

all i have ints a walbro pump
and a front mount

lol, remember Manny had it at 21 i think.

I ran 18lbs on 550's, t28, and afc for years with no harm done. Made a little over or just at 280 whp if I remeber correctly...

no more than 12 on stock injectors, i ran 740s and 22-23psi on occasion. Theres not really such a thing as "too much boost" its just not enough/too much fuel/timing.

What turbo do you have? if your running a t28 you should be able to handle 18..

redtop or blacktop?

i ran 15-17# on stock everything...evvvverything, for like a year, then got walbro and 300zx fuel filter.(blacktop)

your turbo will blow before your motor, i went thru 2 t25's and 1 t28 before i manned up and got a brand new turbo.

=D

i have a red top with a t25, i dont mind blowing the turbo, i just dont wanna blow the motor, any ways i plan on putting in my SAFC and upgrading my injectors

i ran 15 psi on mine (blacktop SR also my Avatar pic )... my buddy has a redtop has ran 15 psi for over 4 years now no problems... idk where these guys are getting their info but they are way off the car comes stock with a T25 for a reason you can boost it up to 15psi just be sure to have FMIC cause on SMIC you will prolly detonate. also be sure to have a Walboro when boosting that high cause a stock fuel pump wont do so well lol..

14psi, guille was close.

If you dyno your car with that setup at 14 psi, you'll see its borderline safe. Anymore boost and you're just putting unnecessary wear and tear on both your engine and your turbo. I doubt you'll make more than a few extra hp beyond that anyway.

yup, once you fall off that cliff on the t2small compressor map its just really alot of hot air, this is true for all turbos.

i would say with stock t25 and injectors 12-13 just to be safe, for the people running 15-18 on t25 did u guys ever use a wideband? And the t25 sucks anyways it really doesn't hold that much boost power to 7krpm. I say if u wanna put injectors and run more boost get a wideband and see wuts going on and see when the power starts to drop off. :bigthumbu

idk where these guys are getting their info but they are way off
?

just about anyone who posted, posted what they ran on their setup, so thats where their getting their info.

and everyone is pretty much saying the same thing you are, so who is way off? unless im missing something... (maybe i missed the reply this was directed @)
