ok heres the problem..
i recently installed 26mm calipers with new pads and new blank rotors on my s13
any braking below about 60mph feels good and stops
but anything faster it would brake good but has a light vibration type noise and also light vibration feel through the pedal until it slows to about 35 and it feels good and normal
what can this be?

is the slight vibration dependant on peddle pressure? dose the steering wheel pull or have the vibration too? are you sure its the front brakes ? Are the pads wearing even on the rotors?

i'm gonna take of the wheel and check properly soon.
i looked at it from outside and it seems the pads are even .. i'll double check
no the vibration does not stop with pedal pressure

the nosie could be you need to rebuild you caliper. my friends brakes were making noise when he would slow down it was one of the cylinders failing.

was there any rust on the hubs when you did your brakes?? very possible if its just a light vibration that it could be rust on the hubs that wasnt cleaned.

how tight did you tighten down the wheels. if you overtightened them then you probably warped you rotors causing this condition. also are you sure the rotors were knew and not just shaven. could have runout or be warped if used

its brand new rotors
i tightened the lugnuts with a torque wrench to its required torque spec
the only thing used are the calipers.. the pistons were a bit rusty but seals looked good without cracking.. i think they maybe the calipers.
i still have to double check to see if the pads are evenly being squeezed etc

no rust on hubs
i have driven with warped rotors before and i would think at even 40mph braking u would feel it

with warped rotors you would feel a pulsing in the brake pedel while braking, it feels like the pedel is going up and down. fyi.

the only thing that could go wrong with the caliper is the o rings on the cylinder went bad. that would mean that you would need to re-build them.

if you look at your brakes you can see if all the pistions are extending.

let me ask another question... did you redrill the rotors? did you buy new wheels when you did the swap? are the wheels aftermarket? are there any spacers in this set up? i ask cause maybe you dont have hub centric shit on there? who knows

no rotors are blanks
and well its 350z rims.. maybe out of balance but driving they dont shimmer
also no spacers
