what slr to buy

so i wanna buy an slr, and im not sure on which one. im deciding between the canon rebel (not sure if its the XT or XTi) and a nikon d50. thoughts? experiences? thanks
 
both are very respected brands. I suggest playing with both at a store. the nikon is larger and fits better in my hands. I have the XT. I would suggest the XTI over the XT. not because its newer, but of the size of the lcd screen (1.8). it didnt bother me at 1st, but when I used a XTI. I noticed what a difference the screen size made (2.5). im not sure on the size of the nikon. either one you cant go wrong. hope this helps
 
Im assuming you are still working at Sears? GO get the Rebel XT they have. I got it andLove it. Same Camera Bladder uses aswell! You will not be disappointed. Canon also has more MP then Nikon
 
i think i might snag the XT this weekend

gunna check out sears and some other spots
