Spectator
Well Finally After 6 Months of Waiting for this day it finally Came.

Location: Hilton Hotel
Time: Midday w/ Sunset
Equipment: D80 / D300 w/ 2.8 17-55mm / 2.8 10.5mm FE / SB800 on StroboFrame Bracket / Nikon SC 29 Remote Cord / Lots of Fucking Memory and Batteries

- I'm really trying to get started with Weddings so I shot this one as a second photographer. Let me tell you, it's NOT EASY at ALL. Shit can hit the fan in an instant. You wish you could be everywhere at once, Got another one in January so we'll see how that one goes. Anyways here are some Pics that basically sum up the 600 pics I ended up Taking. I did not do the Formal Pictures so I won't include those.

-Editing Done: White Balance, Crop, and Contrast on some (all done in Camera Raw on Photoshop CS3, Just got Lightroom 2 so I'll try that later)

-C/C on any Pictures which you may have an interesting Insight on I know it's a lot but I don't want to make 3 threads lol (DON'T QUOTE PICTURES ITS ANNOYING LIKE WRITING IN ALL CAPS!!!) They are Numbered for a Reason.

-Like I said, it's difficult. Moments pass like Bullets and you gotta catch them. The best Practice is the actual thing lol.

And so with Permission of the Couple I bring you the pictures (Finally):bigthumbu

ok heres what i think:

A; i love the gradient of the sky going from dark to light
1: the book is slightly crooked on top its just a bit distracting but overall i like it.
2: would have been really nice minus the white blanket, the white bowl and the water bottles and if the guy in black moved to cover more of the white drawer. it would of been really sweet since the flower girl was white and everything around her even the tv was black.
3: love it
4: its ok but im not to fond of it. it doesnt evoke emotions in me, but thats just me.
5: overall i love the picture, just wished there was a bit more space next to the shoe on the right. to balance out the space on your left.
6 - 8: love them, awesome shots!
9: wish the videographer wasnt there.
10: sweet angle!
10a: seems a bit offish, idk, couples not lined up with the middle arch? maybe could have shot at a slight angle? my symmetry may be a bit off. idk.
11-14: great shots!
15: theres like a tiny part of the placeholder in the corner, it seems in focus and its a bit distracting, you might want to crop that out.
16: looks good
17: if you cropped it right in the middle of the darker brown beam underneath the crown molding that may solve your problem of dead space. other than that i really like this shot.
18-20: looks good. :D
21: whoa, i love it, the emotions on all the guys in the back. great shot!
22: wow, my head just got a headache. >.< it took me a while to see the point in this shot until i saw the white blob, which i realized was the bouquet. i think it would of been a cute shot if you shot it the same way as the groom's shot.

i hoped i helped some. :D

15 & 20 are my favorites... they caught my eye the most excuse me if i cant sound like a photography expert but yea...... off topic are u lookin for any wedding crashers??? lmao

I'll start off by saying nice work on your first wedding. I remember mine and it was crazy. Luckily the couple was young and didn't really mind. Everything went wrong at the wedding but the pictures came out good.

A. underexposed
1. Not to sure why the grooms ring is oof. At fstop 9 it should've been
3. I would've cloned out the moles on her back and smoothed her skin out a bit
6. the blacks in his suit are way to dark. Its just a blob
7. is amazing
8. underexposed
9. already talked on
10a. underexposed
11. I wouldn't have sent that to them. Well I would just used a different shot also.
12. the bride looks a little off with her maide of honor pressing up against her
13. soft, run it thru usm or a high pass filter
22. the angle with the fisheye isn't that flattering.

Thank you to everyone, it really means a lot to me. yea there were a couple of shots that could've turned out better composition wise like the one that has that Freakin Videographer smack dab in the middle sigh and yea the last fisheye didn't convince me at all either, to much space everywhere and you gotta think for a bit about whats going on lol

oh and btw the hardest part of the wedding for me was the actual ceremony! As you can see there are only a couple shots but for the most part hated how they came out. That 5'o clock just killed it for me.
