wow most expensive downgrade... y would u do such a thing :confused:

It is japan and the motor is considered domestic. Surely it is a lot easier to build a japanese motor and drop it in a BMW than try to modify a BMW motor out there in Japan.

As for the whole car, I thought it was pretty quick in the high revs.... the problem was the suspension and you could clearly tell the car was being held back for the lack of it... but once again... German car on the other side of the world has no aftermarket support, so I wouldnt be surprised if he's riding on cut springs or something.

im sure its a whole lot faster than the 318 it once was... no?

Very true!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 318 has the m42 like 130-135hp.

F20C = 240hp

It was an upgrade.

The weight from the engine and probably the positioning of the engine had to of give the beemer some balance issues. Maybe the weight ratio went crazy where they put the engine?? See lots of under steer. s2000, 50/50. BMW with same engine = ?????? None the less some suspension is in demand on that one. Maybe you should do that swap rwdrift, LOL.

I think the reason for this is the same reason that the Japanese guys would much rather do all kinds of add on electronic fuel things instead of just going standalone.......

Almost no one in Japan speaks english much less German..... Still though..... Sell the 318, buy a 328 bore stroke, headers, intake, cams all simple stuff that any machine shop can do, and youve got a mean ass car. That S2000 motor would make a lot more sense in an old 2002.
