Volvo Drifting

I have seen this befor I love it though Volvo is the only european auto maker that uses japanies engine parts in its motors

Yea that vid is super old. I saw that vid before I ever owned a car. But it's awesome.

who was laughin at the idea of a volvo drifting?

well on this site maybe not a lot of people in the outside world, lots of people. Mainly becuz the B230f is originally a tractor motor. In its n/a state the engine makes 114hp around 5400 rpm and 138 ft lbs of torque at 2800 rpm. In its turbo intercooled state 160 hp around 5300 rpm and 187 ft lbs of torque at 2900 rpm. Remember these are 8v heads single cam not dual. Now the 16v version, the B234F is only n/a but these motors made 151 hp around the same range as the other two but made 150 ft lbs of torque at 4500 rpm. These motors can take a beating and are extremely hard to blow. I had the B230f in my old car and i would start that thing up every day take up to the rev limiter (which would shake the whole car :D) shut off and the motor never blew.

nvm! :corn:

im just trying to show you that volvos arent as weak as people take them for. they are actually pretty fun to drive. trying to burnout in them is pretty hard especially if you got the auto but if you're at a stop and then floor it, you probably get a decent start but a whole new world comes to life when you hit 2,000rpm. you feel nothing but low end torque pushing you against the seat.
