Tranny making noise

I have a 98 Kouki, Every morning when i try to shift to leave my house its make's a weird noise like something is grinding also i need to pop the clutch for the gear to go in and now 3rd gear is grinding if i shift fast.. am thinking that the clutch needs to be replaced. Should i change the oil in the tranny? i heard if you change the oil in the tranny some mineral get lost or some **** like that i personally think its a load of **** but i want to be safe.. Any ideas or answers are great thanks in advance..

change the fluid in the tranny, check the master cylinder fluid, bleed the clutch.. if it still does it, your tranny is dying
 
Yeah am gonna do that what oil do you recommend? BTW what is the correct way to bleed a clutch?

YES ROYAL PURPLE FTW

You need to use any good GL4 Tranny Fluid. If it is not GL4 you will **** the tranny. Maybe that is why it is screwed up now.

His syncros are bad.

I would actually recommend a mixture of MT-90 and Redline 75w90 (1/4 qt 75w90 per 1 qt MT-90).

Your basis on this statement is what? I have ran redline in all my nissan tran's from z32 to ka to sr to vq. Redline has never given me any problems. I just recently switched to amsoil not because of and problem that arose but because I like the feel of it more. Redline is the cure all for syncro issues.
 
You are either low on gear oil or your synchros are just going bad. It will get worse and worse as time goes on, even if you are just low on oil you have already done some damage. Change that oil and see what happens. Good luck.
 
Ummm what oil do i use? Redline? Royal Purple?
Thanks..am gonna change the tranny fluid and filter hopefully it works or reduces the noise and grinding.
BTW where can i get Tranny oil at pepboy's they have castrol and some other **** there...

oh yea when i bought my car the synchros were all bad and just got worse n then my reverse just went out.... completly
 
Redline does not kill Nissan trannys. Running a GL-5 fluid kills Nissan trannys by eating away at the brass syncros.

Redline MTL and MT-90 are both GL-4 compliant.

mtl is okay for brass syncros, mtl is gl4.

Ive also tried shockproof in my transmission, everything was easier when i tried to shift fast compared to only using mtl. I use 3 qts of mtl and 1 shockproof in my transmission.

i use redline synthetic 75-140 w\ no friction modifier in the nismo 2way.
