Ever wonder why when you go to an event you always see so many s13's. Well here is an interesting fact. 251,410 240's were made in the US. Of that, 213,129 were s13's. Of those, only 8,320 were verts. In 94 verts were only made and only 1,391 were made. The remaining were s14's. In 95 25,114 were made. In 96 7,334 were made. In 97 3,655 were made. In 98 only 1232

sounds weird... according to this only 38,296 s14's were ever made in the US?... I wonder how many of those s13's were se coupes...

well coupe models of any car back in the day were a big hit so i mean they must have made quite a bit...

That's why it's cool to own a 98 dueceforty cause they be rarez...

honestly, production numbers have NOTHING to do with why so many kids drive s13's..

do this for me.

Go and check on the price of an 89-90 s13 hatch. Then go check a 91-93 hatch. Then coupes with single and dula cam. THEN check that price of an s14.

Tom and I used to be offered free hatch shells. Tom got a running driving single cam coupe once. No one EVER offered us s14's.

Its like someone will give you a small block chevy cause they're old, dont make much power in stock form, and are almost always falling apart unless rebuilt. Now go try to find someone that will give you an LS1 in any running condition.

well, the high production numbers is what causes the value to drop(making them dirt cheap), and the reason they are so prevalent in the first place...

So, production numbers have everything to do with it. well that and the fact that they are almost a decade older than 14's, ya know, kinda.

take the vert for example, usually sell for much more than coupes/hatches. because of the low production rate...

idk, just my .02
