well i think i found the number 1 problem of my car.... the timing chain is jumping teeth..... its not as bad as it sounds though.... (well it is but dont bust my bubble) :bigthumbu

the idler puller somehow was loose and would cause the timing chain to slack and skip a tooth.... im going to go pick up a tap and re tap the head to make sure its all good and i should be in bussness.... im thinking about doing a cam swap while i have the timing chain out and stuff..... (run 248 and 248) i have a extra set of 93 s13 cams..... well wish me luck guys and i hope i get this thing up running soon....


also just to make sure is the timing 15 btdc or 20.... i cant remember right now and want to verify really quick....
 
or if you run 93 ocatne go to 22-24 degrees. The 248 248 cam swap I herd isnt too great for n/a KA's unless you have some head work and some intake manifold work, the best for stock ka's are the 248/232 set-up.
 
whats the problem with the 248/248....it will be better then stock right... the s13 intake cam is 232 right....
 
232 is from the intake AND exhaust cam for S14 ka's, stock S13 ka's are 240 intake 248 exhuast, also some people like the 240/232 set-up, its a mix of 240/232 and 248/232. my brother has 248/248 on his ka and it pulls like crazy but im like 99% sure someone did some work on his motor before he bought the car.
