Since 2004, Captain Ben has dedicated his life to the sport of Drifting. Beginning with the introduction of SFLDrifters.com, he along with his friends have created a haven for all drift enthusiasts to gather, share, and discuss all the latest happenings taking place in the South Florida region. He has helped to create a brand that is recognized throughout the state of Florida and in some parts of the world.
Captain Ben first took the responsibility of covering local drift events for the world to witness. Capturing thousands of photos from the early beginnings of the drift scene up to the present day, his determination has led him to almost all corners of the state, allowing the world to witness the grassroots scene unfold.
Eventually there came a time to place the camera down and his interests as a driver soon took over. Having no drift car of his own, he relied on the generosity of his friends to be given the opportunity to learn with their vehicles. Taking every single moment as if it was his last, he quickly understood what it took to get a car sideways.
In time with all the knowledge acquired from drifting various different kinds of vehicles, he has now taken on the journey to helps others learn the basics of drifting. At every Countyline Dragway Skidpad event, you can find Captain Ben instructing newcomers on how to drift their vehicles. Vehicles including but not limited to: RX-7, 240SX, M3, Camaro, IS300, Mustang, Sky, Corolla, Supra, and many more.
After numerous years attending and covering drift events, Captain Ben gained the confidence to do what is arguably the toughest job in drifting, judging. Organizations such as Drift Sessions and Ter-Tech took notice and soon invited him to judge their events, The King Of Countyline series and The Caribbean International Drift Battle series.
Now he joins US Drift Circuit as Chief Track Marshal, overseeing all aspects related to drifting for the company. He will continue to maintain the professional atmosphere associated with the series through his determination for efficiency and coordination. Along with that he will work to accomplish the goals set out by US Drift Circuit such as providing the best entertainment value for attendees.
