The Drift Evo IX

Tranverse + RWD = no sense. The car just doesn't look right at all...like it's totally unbalanced or something. Maybe the driver just sucked (couldn't tell if it was Rhys).

that did not look like rhys driving....the evo looked like it was open diff (i know both wheels were spining) lol looked kinda hard to get sideways.....

Look at the driver hard.... its rhys do you think hes gonna let some random guy even one of his employees drift one of his evo's around his parking lot....sure why not

Remember guys the vid says testing. I still prefer an evo as an AWD. If you want to drift stick to the rwd platforms or at least a Subie or Skyline that way the engine/drivetrain layout is balanced like an FR not all the way before the front strut towers like in a transverse mounted engine. But hey Rhys has skill so lets see what he can do. We already know Team Orange can rock out in the Drift Sti.

At least the Subaru engine is mounted longitudinally which makes 100x more sense for a RWD car. :)

Well if you remember back in 2002 when rhys first got into the drift scene out in Cali he was drifting the AWD RMR Evo. He got the sponsorship from Pontiac so he decided why not since he's been driving the Holden's for a while in his native New Zealand.

JDMdrifterCT9: I'm in no way saying an evo can't drift by all means I know they can but it's not the optimal choice for drifting for the reasons I stated before. I <3 your evo.

I know that it isn't a drift car thats why I am trying to get another 240, but it still is fun to do some 4 wheel drifts in the rain :D
