After visiting the signal auto site, they have unveiled there new drift car...seeing as how it says that this car is coming to the US, it is my speculation that this car was probably built for Formula D. Ill update when more info is found out...

Nissan badges Lexus or is it a true Nissan?

Anyhow, it's surprising how stuck people are on the old engines..... brand new cars and they are throwing 10 year old engines in there.

well since there bringing to america im sure its the nissan skyline! but then again why would they list it as a G35 unless it was one...hmmm im confused now!!!

It has the Infiniti headlights & taillights.

But it still looks like something that belongs in 3 Fast 3 Furious and needs to stay there.

thats another reason why I believe its going to be in Formula D, a majority of there cars are bright!!! D1 would never alow it@!!!

i like it... i have the issue of stupid street that its in and its a pretty nice car and it is a skyline not a g35.

the reason they used the SR20 is cause signal is very good at tunning them and just doesnt want to let go and learn something new.

Wrong More like they use the SR22DET(in this case) because they can easliy pull high-horsepower numbers, it's much lighter than any other nissan engine they could use with that power potential, and to top it off it gives the best weight distribution for that chassis look how low and far back in the engine bay that engine is. That thing has to have near 50/50 weight distribution.

sorry it isnt a SR22 because the engine's code however big the bore and stroke it will will still be and Sr20 base engine. and yes it is a SR20 with a toda's 2.2L stroker kit
And's its not anny lighter since all they did was increase the stroke and they increased the bore 1mm doesnt reduce weight all that much

Why not use JWT 2.4L Sr20 kit then?

Oh and D1 allowed Drift Zamuri's all pink A31 ciefiro

Dude I felt like saying SR22 because thats easier than typing S15 Spec R SR20DET with a Tomei(not Tomi, since I'm so wrong) Stroker kit. Damn! And I never said they lightened the SR, I said the reason Signal uses an SR is not because thats all they know how to do, it's because it's a much lighter and better placed engine than the VQ35DE that it comes with. Have you ever seen the Signal auto Skyline, NSX powered or Chop-top EP9.

Because tomei is Japanese as is Signal Auto, they use what they have proven to work. And Tomei has been experienced with SR20 engines for how long( not to mention Stroker kits is one of there specialties.???? As opposed to JWT who specializes in Nissan in general not Stroker kits. I totally respect JWT but more displacement isn't always the answer, the only difference between those kits is; one increased the bore and stroke a little more than the other.

yeah i realize that but i was just pointing out that they used an SR20 base engine since they are so used to it and are very adept at tunning it and u jumped on me because i didnt mention that it was 2.2L's yes the SR20DET is lighter than VQ35DE but it is not the lightest engine they could use with that power potential. Surprisingly the CA18DET even with its iron block is lighter than the SR20DET with its aluminium block and you can get 450 rwhp out of it also.

I was just throwing out an example with the JWT stroker since thats an even bigger kit than the tomei's (even though signal used the toda kit) They dont call the engine an SR24 afterwards i know signal wouldnt use the JWT kit.

So therefore they did not use a SR22DET they used a SR20DET with A TODA 2.2L stroker kit O.K.?

Listen i didn't jump on you first off thats reserved for erick..... If I did jump it was because you made it seem like thats all they can do not because of which engine it is. I never typed out SR22DET to specify engine codes like a oem spec engine, I just put in the SR-part and the 22-part so that it was known as to what displacement it was using ( I was being Lazy). Sorry if I seemed like I was attacking you on your post I just was trying to clarify why Signal uses this engine in most of they're vehicles. I agree that a SR22DET doesn't exist. And when you type (SR20 base engine) that would be a non-turbo SR20DE, because they do use is an S15 SR20DET. Sorry if we had any mis-understandings. Later.
