s13 chassis gremlins

ok first this thread is for ppl with older s13's thats maybe already have a swap..or r lookin to do one and want no linear issues with gremlins...
yes this things do exist...
it could b on a ka24de also
as it is the chassis wiring that falters....
loss of voltage = loss of power
full 12v power=full ecu potential..

now the s13 chassis has two main chassis harness's...
inside harness...holds the fuelpump circuit..
outside harness..(front lights etc..and ecu constant and switched power)
this wire diagram is from frsport....just for a color guide...
Figure 5a

SR Wire Color KA Wire Color Function
Black / Pink stripe Black / Pink stripe Fuel pump relay
Green / Orange stripe Green / Orange stripe Transmission neutral switch
Red / Black stripe Red / Black stripe ECU relay
Green / Yellow stripe Green / Yellow stripe* AC relay
Black / White stripe Black / White stripe ECU power
Blue / Green stripe Blue / Green stripe AC relay
Black / Yellow stripe Black / Yellow stripe Idle air control solenoid power
Brown Any +12V Switched** O2 sensor power
Red Red ECU backup power
Black / Red Black / Red stripe Main ignition power
Blue / Red coil pack switch power

now wat i have devised is a complete seperation of the switched trigger wires to the ecu
to insure always a steady 12v to ecu and sensors
because of the age of the s13
and the fact that usdm s13's dont come with the sr20det
all the wires match color but not the plugs
heres my relay
104_1513.jpg

all standard 30 amp relays come with #s on terminals
terminal #87 12v constant
terminal #85 chassis ground
terminal #86 switched 12v..or blk /red stripe*
terminal #30 goes to blk/red..blk/yellow..blk/wht.. brown...blue/red..red/blk..
i used two 12g wire to the seperate the 6wires...4 small to one and two thick wires to one
*u must use a diode on terminal #86 with stripe facing relay
..standard size..too big is not good as it has to much resistance
once this is done
all the wires to ecu on and sensors will have a steady 12v from alt..
u should have smoother idle and
engine should rev very strong :driving:
