ok thanks doodif your actuators still work then dont ziptie them open. working actuators are preferred over non-working or wired open.
yeah i just changed my headlight fluid...change the bearings..
If it's an 86-88 either put the main cat back on the car, or get a racing beat middle muffler. You need back pressure to open the secondary actuators. Wiring them open will make your car have NO bottem-end or mid-range, be really slow and drive like shit. Leaving them closed will make your car have NO top-end, and really slow.
If it's an 89-91 then the actuators are run by the air-pump, so leave the air-pump on! In this case you can do whatever to the exhaust.
Lastly, don't waste your time doing anything to an N/A FC, unless you're swapping engines to something decent.
+1
Unless you get a proper sized exhaust, you will have issues with the actuators opening. They are supposed to open at about 3500-3800RPM along with the secondary set of injectors activating as well. My actuators open late as shit, because I had gotten the REV TII exhaust because I was planing on going boost, but i had purchased to replace my damaged N/A exhaust. Now I plan on going a different direction...

omg!! kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haahh
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
just leave the 6ports open. will be the same power after 5k
your right, same power after 5k but less power before that. thats why i said that working actuators are better. and if he turbos the na and he keeps the actuators working he will see boost sooner.
