i know this isnt a site dedicated to drag racing. But i figured id ask cause there are alot of smart guys on this forum. Say if the world record for fwd nissan NA (hypo sit. now) was 11.00 and somebody built one with another manufactures motor fwd and na and it beat the record, would it count even though it was a different man. motor
 
It depends on the class. In the rule books it propably says that you must use a version of the factory engine, or a engine from the same manufacurer. :p
If its in the unlimited class then I would consider it to be the fastest chasis (although it uses a different engine).

btw please be more specific with your thread title, it sucks clicking on a thread and not having any idea about its content.
 
friend has a jetta and is planning on another manufact. motor swap. We are estimating this car to run faster than "the worlds fastest all motor fwd vw" just wondering what the definition was
