question to law enforcement knowledgable

hmmmm. im trying to paint a picture of this in my head. ill ask my sis
 
Lawwise in Florida, I do not believe that an officer can issue you a citation for speeding without puling you over to do so. The cameras at intersections to my understanding are only for accident investigation currently. I have heard that it is possible to be issued a citation in other states such as Arizona for speeding via traffic cameras though. If you were issued a citation, I would immediately consult an attorney.

i believe that when your on the highway...

if you see a white line, then maybe 100 yds down you see another, look up to see if theres a plane, your probably being timed...

thats what i've heard at least
 
They track you by counting how long it takes you to get to the next line/mark they have left on the plane. They can determine your speed like that, but I think they atill have to pull you over to issue the ticket...

And traffic light cameras are used for accident investigations as well as spotting red light runners. I have hidden 3 letters for my sister running red lights from my mom lol...
 
They can't give you a speeding ticket unless you are pulled over, I think it depends on which county your in.....

Speeding tickets do not hold up if you challenge them and they do not have a radar number on it, I know that one for a fact

remmember they will hold up in court depending on your driving record judge see's you been pulled over for speeding before your pretty much screwed
 
As far as the airplane stuff goes...thats totally legit. They do it all the time. They used to do it down here in the Keys, basicly they time you between the lines, do the math real quick and radio down to the state troopers sitting about a mile down the road.

As far as a cop just seeing you speeding and mailing you a ticket...hmm still don't know about this one.
 
Well unless they can prove WHO is driving w/o pulling you over, then I don't see how it could hold up.
Defense would be as simple as:
"Yea its my car, but a friend was driving it."

Otherwise I'd just get a rental and go till speed cut, cuz that shit ain't going to come back to me.
 
hmm.. this is a tricky one.. it actually all depends on the state.. in some places boxmod would be right.. without driver identification the violation will not hold up.. although is some states the registered driver of the vehicle is always ultimately responsible whether they were driving or not because the violation was committed in their vehicle.. it all comes down to the totality of the circumstances.. what would i do? i would say a family member was borrowing that week for personal reasons and stick to your story.. FYI if you get really defensive your guilty.. so play it cool..
