question for those who dont have AC

ok so i had AC but when i switched engines i never put the AC compressor back in and im too lazy to do it so im gonna pay sombody to do it when i get a job
but anyways, no AC's not a problem till summer, just roll the windows up when its cold, have em down when its not... no problem

the only thing hate is when it rains and i have the windows up so i dont get wet, the inside glass gets foggy as hell to the point where i cant see

i keep the glass clean, and i even bought this "anti-fog interior glass" shit by rain x and applyed it how they said, and it still doesnt help. the windows fog up like crazy, and no matter how many times i keep wiping them it just keeps coming back

im wondering what you people without AC use to get around this?

what if u dont have a heater?, i dont have any kind of ac or heater and suffer from the same problem, the only thing i can think of is those vent visors but i havent tried them yet, anyone got input on this?

its not hard to hook up the heater hoses, that way at east the glass wont fog. stop ghetto rigging these damn cars and do $hit the correct way!!!!!

shaving cream works, put it on the window wipe off and your all set, eventually it'll fog up again but then just do it again, should work for a long time

id rather pay sombody here to put the compressor back in for me, then to pay a shop an arm and a leg to do it lol i just hate working in cramped areas

the lines and everything is all there, all that needs to be done is to switch the mounting bracket from my old engine, and put the compressor back in

any takers?

and also... i guess heater would work, but its already hot as balls in the car when it gets all foggy and humid... that just would make it worse lol

plus my motor for the moving the vents to face/feet/defrost is really weak, and whenever i put it to feet or defrost, it gets stuck and wont go back to face unless i get lucky

and for the people who dont have AC and dont plan on putting it back in, those window top vent things are probably the best idea

you can keep the windows cracked without getting water in, and they dont look that bad on an s14

i would buy em, but id rather spend the money on the AC

i got the best luck in the world. the air doesnt blow cold when its hot as fuck or raining. i just activate the rear defogger and turn on the front defogger and put it on 3 or 4 and open the sunroof to vent out some of the humid air. u might have a little bit of fog but not to the point where u will need a towel to clean it. best advice, just have working AC im lazy about it but then again, i love driving with the windows down.

for some reason my rear defrost hasnt worked since i got the car. im betting its somthing simple like a fuse or just the wire is split and needs to be re connected

i really really wish i had a sunroof, but i dont

im wondering, if i put the front defog on, but i blow "cold" air and not hot air, will it contritube or get rid of some of the fogging? im sure putting hot air from the engine bay would help more, but its already humid as ballsack in the car when its raining, and heat doesnt really help lol

il put it in for you and vaccuum it and recharge it at my shop for a fair price

by vaccuum do you mean cleaning out the lines? either way, how much?

i leave the AC on cold all the time just in case it decides to work when the front defogger is on.

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

its not vaccuming like your mothers vacum its making negitive air presure.

ok that was a good laugh. its kinda hard to explain i suck at writing but here it goes. Your a/c system is a closed system filled with refrigerant. You want to have this system as pure as possible with nothing but just refrigerant inside it to help it work as good as possible ALSO and more importantly when vacuming the a/c system you should let it sit for a while to make sure there are no leaks in your system, and this is how the refrigant is installed into the system, it kinda sucks it up from the tank with that refrigerant.

i only explained this cause your a retard and dont know shit about cars and this is a good explaination as to how this works

go buy the window visors on the side so you can crack the windows a little bit... i did when i had my S13... they worked pretty good.
