Some Crazy shiz i thought its was like some terrorist attack or something lol, half a million people without power im watching it in teh news.
I checked the news sites and they all say FPL is investigating the cause.
Found some other stuff about this power plant thing...supposedly they were shut down due to the outages? IDK how that makes sense. I just hope to MF god that no chernobyl-like shit ever happens here or anywhere ever again.

alot of the power is back already. My friend told me that all the street lights were out on US-1 and people were doin crazy shit. Its pretty much under control now.

MIAMI - Florida Power & Light spokesman said the widespread power outages affecting Florida started when the company shut down a nuclear reactor south of Miami for safety reasons, but did not explain further.
Spokesman Bob Coleman said the company shut down two nuclear generators at its Turkey Point plant south of Miami.
"When that happened, the entire state of Florida began to run low on electricity," Coleman told BayNews9. When the supply gets low, then some circuits have to be disconnected, he said.
He estimated that power should be up statewide within 10 hours. Outages affected up to 3 million people.
The massive power outages trapped people in elevators, caused traffic accidents and prompted hospitals to rely on backup electricity.
Jaime Hernandez, a spokesman for Miami-Dade County Department of Emergency Management, said the county had partially activated its emergency operations center. No injuries were reported, he said.
Cascading outages appeared to be concentrated in the southeast, including areas of Miami, Doral, Westchester and Pembroke Pines.
Police officers directed traffic at intersections in downtown Miami, but many drivers were left to negotiate the jams on their own. Many stop lights were not working and some stores closed for the day."

my power went of, then came right back on instantly, thats about it. but i think something else is going on w/ Turkey point. they said it was shut down because of a "outsdie" power faliure...weird shit
