Noise after Clutch and pressure plate install

Recently I change my clutch to a Act Hd PP and Race disc, I have been geting bad vibration sounds on regular driving and almost always vibration noise in 4th gear from 45-50 mph.

This happens constantly in 4th gear, other gears have minimal vibration noise.

What could this be ? It doesn't affect drivability much but it's very loud and sounds like metal to metal contact ?

i know of a car that did similar noise and slight vibracion , when we took it apart we found he over torqued presure plate bolts and didnt have the flywheel resurfaced
the bolts snapped and the clutch was uneven and only gripping eventually

If its in gear and doing it, its not he t/o bearing.

It could be the pilot bearing but this sounds a little rough. I would take it apart and inspect asap.

I really can't think of anything that could have gone wrong in the process....

The sounds seems to be coming either from the rear of the tranny or after it. I can't really tell though.

could my axles be going bad....

Take it apart..............fackkkkkkkk

It is gear when it does it.

I didn't change the pilot bearing...it seemed fine to me. But hey this is my first clutch install.

i had the same prob and changed the clutch twice and three tob's. it is 99% your pilot bearing, i didnt change mine and did the same, now that you didint you should replace the tob and the pilot bearing together.

hmm.....i been searching on the topic...no one has a definate culprit yet...

Most say its the driveshaft...some balance issue

It would help to hear the sound...

Pilot bearing noise is like a droning whine that increases in pitch as you go faster.
