ok guys i will be a precise as possible.

02 altima
2.5s
5speed
(no suspension mods)

two days ago i started hearing a metal to metal sound in my F/R tire area.

it occurs when the tire goes over a non flat area of road, like grass, rocks, a small pothole, etc.

however it does not make noise if applied constant pressure to the shock, ( like if you push down on the fender or w.e

this is what i did;

1, removed brake assembly
2, checked rotor, brake pads, brake dust cover and all the other shit
3, removed the strut/spring assembly, checked that as well, seemed fine and no leaks
4, visually checked the joints, all seemed ok, and moved the whole arm set up to see if anything made noise.
5, checked CV joints for leaks or w.e, fine.
6, sprayd the shit out of EVERYTHING with silicone spray, so see if its that for the hell of it.
7, started raining and could not do shit but to rebuild.
8, tightend everything back to stock

nada,zip, jack shit.

will test drive tomorrow.

-did drive, still makes noise like the a loose rotor or something....

ANY IDEAS OF WTF CAN BE CAUSING THAT IN MY suspension!?

thanks!

(PS i searched, and dint find jack, + the posts were vague as shit to descriptions

i removed the strut, and shock, and tested the tube, did not leak or have issues so i dont think its that.

in the process of ^, i had to detach the link bar, the joints also were fine, no free play at all.

i was having a similar issue where the backing plate would hit the rotor occasionally and make that sound. also, check the inside of the wheel to see if there are any telltale signs of something rubbing on it

ya abe told me that, and nah man, nothing seems to be rubbing, all i can think of is that one of the bushings are fucked, though when i removed the shock, i shook the shit out of that whole arm and not a squeak.

-Whats the noise like? Tick, clunk, grinding noise, etc...

it sounds like metal to metal clunking, and ticking, kinda like if you take the rotor and shake it.

i think it has to be a joint, i just can see em real well, and where the fuck am i going to get altima joints?! its not like Esuspension makes em.

oh, i see, i also had a problem where the lower control arm mounts to the subframe was loose and would make that noise

i see, i will take the car today to my job and use our lift to see the bottom.

i will also check for other shits that may be loose that can cause that crap.
