need a lil help

ok i did all the half fast wiring today and have it all nice it wanted to start but i think its getting fludded by gas checkd the spark plugs and we soakd in gas. i cleand them out and lowed the fuel pressure. and tried it again and startd having back fire out the intake... can it of timing

set you motor to top dead center on #1 compression stroke cams should both point away from each other and flat now remove dizzy cap and make sure the rotor is pointing at #1
