kade misfire under 2k

ok so car runs like shit. sometimes stalls when u get out of gear the revs drop till it dies. sometimes on start up u need to play with the throttle to get it to start. idles wherever it wants to 500. or stupid low. or 1k. any idea wtf it could be? cars been running fine started it the other day, it sounded like it had an cracked exhaust somewhere. when u roll out in first gear it sounds like a lawnmower wtf!? ever since its ran like shit.
 
i think its something with cylinder 4. i take away spark or fuel and misfire get worse but now at bad as with the others. i changed injector. and traded wire. and the plug appears fine. when i take it to my friend at his shop the misfire goes away when he gets to see it. but as soon as i go home agian its bakk. but if i have a/c on its fine.. so wtf!!?
 
chec for codes if nothing then it sumthing electrical thats out of spec...if it idles fine when ac is on then the regular iacv is not getting power....or enough power...
it happens to s13 alot....
on the s14 the dizzy has the coilpak in it...check for voltage and proper continuity at the dizzy too....

k. how lol? i have a volt meter just where do i plug in?.
 
I have this same problem. I've gotten really good at heal toe lol. Exactly what he says but no misfire. Just rpms at idle or once I take it out of gear....and when I turn the ac off the engine just doesn't run it struggles so bad...93 s13 ka24de. Was going to try a friends maf or iacv just they are on a different schedule than I am. So please update what this is caused by so I can fix mine as well. Plugs and wires have been changed no difference.

uh u need to check power to iacv.....
its blk and yllow in the two connectors by battery..
if i dont get switched power u wont idle...common issue on s13's

u need to check the fsm for usdm s14..
all the spec sheets for checking resistance on all sensors is in there....
u can down load it umwhere...just google i t...

havnt done that :/ . but found my alternator had lost its ground. i tightent up the clamp holding intake pipe to the cupler right before the tb. also took out the injector from cylinder 4 which is the one which had minimal change when i took spark from and replaced it with cylinder 1 injector. also put another injector in cylinder 1 got rid of the cylinder 4 one. didnt find vac leaks. replaced the spark wire to cylinder 4 which had the crack. all this helped still has misfire just not so damn bad. yet u can still feel it while driving. even at 40mph steady throttle u feel the hicups every now and then. soany other suggestions?

people keep saying MAF is it was the MAF it wouldnt rev past 2500rpms...

what happin when u checked Dizzy???

on top of everything whens the last time you did a full tuneup?
