Intercooler, weight reduction, and custom spindles

.
Stripped the bimmer of everything except AC yesterday.

Also some pics of the IC mounted up and my custom modified spindles for more angle, lower steering ratio and zero ackerman (both wheels will always point same direction now).

Now for the pics already:

Big sunroof assembly. I think it weighed about 40-50 pounds, right at the top of the car too.... BAAAADDD, maybe my bodyroll will be a little less now:

Sunroof panel itself was about 15 pounds, I cut carefully and removed the backside reinforcements and mounting plate stuff:

Backing removed:

Saved like 2grams taking the badge off!!

Hannu welding up the entanks on the intercooler, it was a little too tall so I had to cut it down a bit. Big thanks to Hannu for all the help and awesome welding!

Spindles after being cut, during the alignment stage for rewelding:

Finished product, one looks a lil different because I cut too much clearance at first and then ended up adding some material back in.

Really cool looking sky at about 6am a few mornings ago when I left the shop:

I'm anxious to see how the spindle mod affects driving (in non drift scenarios). Good stuff.

You guys did V'd out \ ground back the prewelded joint before welding right? ( i know you did, im just checking).

Just so I can put all this into perspective, how much akerman do trucks vs ur car or an s chasis have? You have to report results after you have driven the car.

Could you give me a run down of the turbo stuffs?
