Info: Silkroad coilovers

Here some info on Silkroad coilovers:

Extremely high-quality, high performance coilover systems for the most popular Japanese sport compact applications. High pressure, gas-charging, mono tube type shock absorber. Extra-thick piston rod design, coupled with innovative valving, allows a perfect balance between capable high-speed damping and low frequency smoothness. Also minimizes aeration and cavitation, even under extreme conditions.

* 8 step dampening adjustment allows fine-tuning of overall suspension dynamics.
* Inverted strut system substantially enhances rigidity and heat dissipation.
* Includes high-quality pillow ball mounts.
* Adjustable, locking spring perch PLUS adjustable threaded shock body.
* Individual spring rates available for purchase separately.
* Integrated, rubber dust boots maintain performance and enhance durabilty

RM/A8 applications now include nitriding on the piston rod, the cylinder and the outer tube.

Merits of nitriding

· Increased surface hardness
· Increased abrasion resistance
· Superior corrosion resistance
· Improved heat resistance (warping)
· Improved fatigue life of the metal
· Offers more benefits over processes such as cementation or induction hardening.

fk man i would love to get silkroads from what i keep hearing about them and alex isnt the only one who tells me either!

silkroads are awesome.....except im going 8K F and 8K R springs rates...but yes very good coilovers.....been thew alot of crashs with alex and there still going strong....

Dammit I want a side by side comparison with TEINs, I'm not very knowledgable on suspension but from what I see my TEIN Super Streets seem to be better and I heard that Silk roads are not cheap. I mean those are 8 way adjustable and mine are 16 (and maybe soon revalved to be 32) and TEIN SSs cost about $1,000 brand new right?

anyways let me know, like i said I don't know that much in this area

oh yeah and BTW 10 POSTS FINALLY YAY AVATAR TIME

wah!!! you and that damn avatar...lmao! well the way I see it, I have heard alot of good things from silkroads, personallyl when i get my set of coilovers Im going to stick with the silkroads...first to be original and to get the stricly drift performance that they offer!!

hehe p.s. i <3 you lebbet!! call me!!!
