yeah im applying to be a diesel engine mechanic and here are some pics i took the 1st engine is a V16 twin turbo engine and 2.0L in each cylinder  meaning its a 32.0L  the damn thing is bigger than my 240 the pictures dont do justice to its size, outher pics are of the yacht i was on they just finished trearing down the engines and put on 4 spanking new turbos my cousin was woking on this i was just watching :bigthumbu lol O AND THE ENGINE ROOM IS ALOT BIGGER THAN IT LOOKS I HAD TO STOP TAKIN PICS CAUSE I NOTICED THE CAMERAS LOL :ugh: :bigthumbu

O YEAH I FORGOT TO MENTION THE MOTORS IN THE ENGINE BAY ARE V16 twin turbo twin supercharged EACH displacement Unknown

holy shit that engine would look good in my car... besides that good luck on the job..

wow, I think that just might fit in my batmobile-ish cars engine bay...just maybe ;) How much power does it put out?

if im not mistaken they told me in the ball park figure of 2000hp and 3100lb ft of torque somethin like that they even have a enigne dyno in house for these beasts i dunno specs on engine room ones though

well considering it spins at 2,800 rpm i think thats alot plus theres usually 2 or 3 motors on 1 boat its never just 1 :bigthumbu ;)

man, I didnt know mtu's could spin up that high. I work on man marine diesels, are biggest motor is a 12 cyl quad turbo with 1550 hp. They only redline @ like 2300... I guess it depends on the duty (heavy, medium, light; light having the highest redline, but shortest lifespan) I know that mtu's are in much larger boats than what I work on, like those super mega yachts. good luck gettin a job!

You better realize how much fucking metal that is spinning around. Plus its almost all power off idle.

first...there was the SR20DET swap, then the RB25 swap, then the RB26, after we finished up swapping all the japanese motors we went to the LS1 V8...the next step...a 12 cylinder 32 liter twin turbo boat motor. FUck yes!

yea its sordove impossible seeing how the engine ways as much as the car it self, pluse there is no mounts in the world that can support that motor in 2 spots.

i'm down for the worlds first mid engine 240.

if a beete (and an eclipse) can support fighter jet engines we can have boat engines.

once again it is impossible, the car can not hold that wheight.

actually its impossible if there talking about the engine in the 1st pic because the damn thing is bigger that the 240 itself! pic just makes it look smaller :bigthumbu
