hey whats up ive been looking into making an upgradde from my sr my roomate has a SBC350 in his coupe and ive been a fan of GSRacers vh swap im just curious on how much work goes into doing this.. its really no big deal to me to do any custom fab work im just curious... also how costly can this swap be?? and where have most people sourced there motor for this sort of project!? any info will help thanks!!

just hit up festival motorsports..they will help u out on sourcing parts and more

Those vhs have been sitting there and been rained on for quite a while most of the time. Look up the kit on mazworks and if your serious call festival motorsports or contact abe and look at his build. he's in the process of swapping vh into his car right now.

x's 2 on both parts

yeah i found one at a local yard but for 700 what all really do you need i saw you need an adapter plate for the 300zx tranny has anyone ever tried to hook up a t56? im just going to run it stock is the fitment in the car somewhat simple? or is there lots of clearance issues i know with a sbc we had to make customs headders and stuff do you have to mod the xmember also?

so i found a few motors around town priced around 700-900 idk if thats high or not?? i plan on breaking it all down and rebuilding it so its fresh new gaskets and such.. im going to make the mounts my self and i might get the drive shaft done by a friend. i think the headders are going to be my biggest issue if i do them myself if you build custom headders with this motor do you just work off the stock ones?? the wireing and adapter plate im going to do from mazworks

i really want to see that GSRACERS 14 in person im going to be going down to miami with my friend to film i think at countyline? what is GSRACERS name anyone know?

Fuck that heavy ass Nissan V8.

I am saying this because of weight. The VH is a cow and the 1uz is not. The guy Brent or Brett of whatever from Central Florida rips it with that car. That motor impressed the shit out of me.

yeah im actually on the phone with brett right now lol well texting he is local to me the 1uz is deff sick i just could never find one thats not cash for clunkers lol

The Vh only weighs about 75 lbs more than a 1uz, in my opinion its a way better motor, the heads flow more and it has more desplacement and a broader tq curve, but im biased i guess.

as for the headers you can make your own or buy the mazworx ones, i recomend the mazworx ones as making them yourself is a headache even if your expierienced.

Heres pics of the two sets of headers i made, the ones on my car right now are the mazworx ones.

These are the ones i made on abes RHD s14

yea i love the VH Displacement seems to be the new thing these days and my roomate has a coupe with a sbc350 in it. now i was going to do ls1 and thats alot... sooo i searched on google and found ^^^Gsracer (btw what is your real name lol im chris) i like your build alot its clean idk if your going to be at the coutnyline event but id like to get a good look at your car and talk about your swap abit... i can do all the custom work myself i might just use moroso solid mount kit and work with that and the drive shaft i can get done no problem... as far as the tranny adapter and all the stuff like that id need to get made... and the wiring.. or is that easy? id imagine its just the chassis plug that needs to be changed correct? and i hear 300zx flywheels bolt up so? what kind of an after market does a VH have i really cant find much for it my goal would be around 400hp but stock is awesome for nowi just have soo many questions that would be simpler to talk in person lol
