I am in the similar situation with hybrid racing. I purchased those sparco rails and sliders from doug. There was some mix up when i bought them I was under the impression that i was getting the base and sliders but it was just the base. ok fine then. took some time but i did get it all...(after like 400 bones) Fast foward to now these bases dont fit the car at all not with out totaly cutting it up and re welding it. So i tried to call to see if there was a way to swap this out with one that fits better or to get this non working one replaced. I IM doug nothing. So i do this for about a week Nothing. So I call Hybrid. Speak to the manager cause doug isnt there. I told him the situation how it wasnt fitting. All i get is a we cant help you with it cause we cant see whats wrong bla bla bla. I told him that i could send pics. still no help from them. so the only thing that he would give me is the number to sparco and that was it. No help from them they were not going to take it back and replace it or nothing. I will no longer do buiness with them after that.

I kinda figured that doug didnt work there anymore. But when people call, it would be profensional of them to say "he no longer works here" so that way i am not getting more pissed that the guy is never there.

I am starting this thread as I am very displeased with Hybrid and not so much with Doug. I will still be waiting to hear what eric has to say about the pictures though.

Please send me the pics of what you are working with. Seat the seat rails and the frame.

Is it a bottom mount seat or a side mount seat?

its a bottom mount. i have sent the pics to sparco and i am working with them on this already. Hybrid Racing i was told by sparco is not a authrized dealer for sparco and i was almost left in the dust because of this, since they arent selling there parts they would honor the part, and since hybrid wouldnt help me either i was almost dry fucked. but thankfully sparco helped me out. i will send you pics if you wish, but there is no way with out cutting and rewelding to make these bases work.

I would like to see the mount cause I have a sparco bottom mount bracket and it worked fine in my s14 just that seat sat way to high. So I would like to see if its the same setup.

ok i will send it then. and your right i am not happy about the way how high the seat sits either i didnt know(nor was i told) that it would be like this. but i am kinda stuck with them now.

let me tell you its only the pass one thats a issue in fitment the driver one can be forced into place. I know none of this aftermarket shit just works but this pass base is behond what could be used safely.

Ok Carlos, your the one I spoke with on the phone. The day after I spoke to you I took an exact rail and took a stock S14 seat out and they lined up perfectly on the chassis. So honestly I dont know what to tell you on this one. I tried to get you to send them back to me or bring the car up here and we will fix it but you declined. Yes we are not an authorized Sparco dealer but so that you know alot of companies are not direct with companies as they go through "wholesale distributors" for parts. Im glad they are getting this taken care of for you as contacting Sparco is your best bet for this.

The guy with the RX7, Doug no longer is employed here at Hybrid Performance since Jan 08. Whatever he does on his own time and place is his deal. That has nothing to do with the store/shop.

and please do not say that you tired to get me to send the parts to you. you wouldnt offer to send it and eat the money in shipping, which i can understand, but i have spent quite a bit of money with doug, and was planning on getting more things. and to have me drive 4hrs for seat rail is crazy. and what would you do hack it up and reweld it? would you be responsible if that rail failed in a accident?

also eric dont forget that i told you the car cant be driven in its current conditon. the rear suspesion isnt there. And the car that i own is a S13 not S14. the pictures speak for themselves you try to answer that.

also the whole thing with you guys not being athurized to sell sparco parts is a big deal. Sparco wouldnt honor there warenty because i bought it through you guys (spoke too 2 different people at sparco and they said the same thing) so from now on i will make sure that someone i buy it from will be.

Manufacturer defect. Someone cut or welded something wrong when that batch got made. I have the same bottom mount bracket and it fits my s14 np. I will try when i get some time to see if it fits the s13.

i would like to hear what eric has to say about these pics. he was quick to answer when i wrote the first time but not now after the pictures. I know this is a manufacter defect but as the store that i bought it from should just swap me out with one to fix the problem.
