hks cams

kill your drivability. slight loss of bottom end tq, gain in midrange and upper rpms......... stock turbo dosent flow alot of air so the max hp gained from installing this cam set wont be felt until you have a larger turbo like a t3\t04, gt series or a t4. I think you should read more about how different cam profiles and durations alter the charictoristics of the powerband and also define your goals. more power in a drift car.... 256\264. w\ a gt3071r.

eh, someone else talk.

lol.....gt2860rs.....nice turbo, ... ...gt30 is sick too...too bigish tho...for teh dori at least

hks 264, i love those cams in my car.......
actualy those cam ran great on a RX7 I builted about a year ago, I used tomei titanium valves and and greddy rocker arm stopers. however I tryed to link them to the flux capacitor through the kanudder valve and the V-tec kicked in 3500rpm, needles to say I was going so fast after 88mph everything was a blur.

what excatly will some hks 264 cams do for me?

Step ones or step twos?

I have JWT C1's (same duration but more lift than HKS 264 step 2's). They did not kill my drivability at all. With a stock turbo though, cams are pretty much pointless. Once you upgrade the turbo, you can start to consider cams.

actually i have a stock sr20 in the fc. except for the driveshaft , wiring and mounts

Like the FD with the SRawr20! Very sick!

BTW
STAY ON TOPIC!

i have the s15 ball bearing turbo so its just a t28. and for the cams i was lookin at the hks step 2's. im just wondering about all this i have some nice money comming in now so im lookin around to see what i should get next besides coil overs. sry still dont have them, o but there comming dont worry.

If that's the turbo you're sticking with, I wouldn't bother with step two's. With step two's or any JWT C-series cams you'll also have to invest in springs, retainers, headgasket, bolts, machine shop fees, yada yada. Some S3's, s4's, or step 1 264 HKS cams will work nicely. I'm a big fan of JWT's valvetrain components so I'd say go with them...easier to get too (although they are more money).

ive ben wondering about them stage 1 hks cams for stock head no good?i dont wana fully do the head jus yet but maby a lil mor grunt until i go full out later.but ive jus heard that they r pointless

Jesus I have to stop posting without paying attention. You won't have to remove the head to install step 2's or c1's...when I did my head I had a blown gasket so I was just thinking of all things I did when changing the cams and not realizing one had nothing to do with the other. Sorry.
