Helpme!!!!!!!!!!

I have alot of white smoke soming from the tailpipe, and in the engine bay? I dont want to tell myself it is a blown head gasket but i think that is what it is. Any thoughts? :(

sorry it is a 1993 sr20 with greddy fmic, 480 injectors, megan racing 3" o2 housing to a 3" greddy down pipe.

yeah, blown head gasket. The break in your gasket must have gone from one of the coolant holes to the piston and to the outside of the block for it to come out the exhaust and inside the engine bay.

is your car overheating? is the coolant disappearing...

where you talking about from the mani to the turbo? I have that gasket but I have not put it on yet.

Could it be anything other than a head gasket. It started when I put the 480cc injectors on it this afternoon. Only time it ever did that....

is it white or can you not tell the color cause it's night time... cause if you get too much fuel you'll get black smoke and with 110 extra cc's that'll give a little bit extra of fuel.

looks like i took some green leaves from a tree and stuck it in a fire kind of white smoke. No black white cause it looks like i was the mosquito truck passing by..... :(

alos if this helps at all, I was driving and it sounds like I have an exhaust leak but all of my bolts are tight. ex mani gasket???

ex. mani gasket / turbo gasket

yeah it could be ur turbo inlet gasket or exhaust manifold gasket causing da leak but the white smoke seems like da headgasket is blown. how much were u boosting? and are u overheating?

I was only boosting about 10lbs.and know I was not overheating. I did once but I had a pin hole leak in the throttle body coolant line. but that was all. but why would it do that only after I changed the injectors? Also what would cause the car to completely sputter then die when pressing on the gas. It happened yesterday, I was accelerating from a stop light and I was going into boost when I pressed on the gas and it would not do anything, and i came to another light and the car would just hesitate and barely move until it dies, then it doesnt start, but after it sits for about 30 min, it starts right up like nothing happened??? i wanna sell it but then i want to fix it...

i am not sure, but I am getting really ticked off though.

I am leaking oil from underneath the exh mani....the compressor is cover in oil, and so is the bottom end. head gasket right??

no tuned ecu. exh manifold bolts were not tight, but still sounds like an exh leak. no fould spark plugs, all of them within gap, and no oil on them, i cant think of anything else...my friend here think the turbo just went bad any thoughts?

i also found that the turbo gasket from the mani was bubbling oil and dripping oil from underneath, is that a blown oil line or one that came loose? I have never seen that before, should a gasket take care of that or is my turbo **** now???? :0hsnap: :0hsnap: :0hsnap:

did u check if u had a boost leaK(intercooler piping) my car wouldnt move when my piping blew off and it was smokin like a mofo! Also i wouldnt suggest running bigger injectors w.o. safc or tuned ecu...

there should be no oil between the turbo and manifold. First check your oil lines. Wipe up the oil and look for where it's coming out of exactly. It seems like your turbo needs to be rebuilt. I would remove the turbo and check it out. Get another one or get it rebuilt.

haha, nothing directed towards this thread but I love online mechanics.

i cant contribute to this thread, i dont know a thing about a sr20. :lolhittin :bsflag:

White smoke at idle could mean your dumping too much fuel...
Maybe you messed up an o-ring when you were putting in your injectors and one of them is leaking

Did you lube the o-rings before putting the injectors in?

If ur head gasket kicked the can.... while the car is cold........... leave the radiator cap off and start the engine. Make sure you have coolant\water in the radiator, it will bubble out and over flow if you have a blown headgasket.

How do you know that you did not over heat this engine ? Just by watching the factory temprature gauge?

How did you drive the car right before you parked it to install the injectors? Was it fine? Acting funny? Anything you remember?

Its highly improbable that the white smoke is from excessive amounts of fuel. Did you installed the tuned ecu and the injectors at the same time? Are you 100% positive that the ecu is calibrated for 480cc injectors?

Are you loosing coolant or oil excessivly?

And the plugs look "okay" ? not oil fouled?

I dunno, answer a few of my questions so I can narrow the search.
