alright so
i have drive shaft unbolted
4 subframe brackets/bolts
4 main bolts on the subframe
exhaust removed
brake calipers removed
its just hanging there

...and i pulled the subframe off the other car 30 minutes before starting on this one last night. the problem is this one has aluminum bushings and they are holding on like i don't know how to describe???

my only new thoughts since last night is trying to fit a scissor jack in there somewhere.

hahaha and PHIL!!!
whats up with the ghetto ass thick steel make shift washer under the rear pasenger side subframe bolt, that shit was funny when it plopped out!

Put the wheels on the rear jack and suport the chassis and find something to pry the subframe. You may need a torch tho

leave the chassis on jack stands, and see if you can use floor jacks to support the subframe......... yes i know you want to take it off. But by supporting it, the bushings will not bind any more. So then use your pry bar to see if the subframe is loose, then lower jacks a little, pry some, lower alittle more and its on the floor. Or get a torch and cut it into 2000 peices, just keep away from the fuel tank.

extra tools needed for removal off sub-frame with aluminium bushings:
36" cro bar
2 ton shop crane
5 minutes of stand around time - probably not near the steel bar sticking out the rear wheel well attached to the shop crane holding the car off the jack stands.

so this car already had solid bushings back there???

or the stock ones this bad to get off?

The old car had aluminum bushings in it when i bought it. I figured it would be easier to just transfer the sub-frame to the new car, and it was.

stock sub-frames drop with the main nuts, so hold it up by the diff with a jack, if it has aluminum bushings you have to pry that sucker off, but one person can still do it.

I forgot the camera as usual but if your planning on removing a sub-frame with aluminum bushings i can take some pics of where and how to set up the breaker bar and engine lift, it would have saved me a lot of time. You'll be able to get it down in about 10 minutes.
