hey wats up ppl i knw many are gona talk bu*l about honda and wat not but im finally releasing my 07 civic and ima get an s2k and yes drift with it too im still saving money and if everything goes right i should be good for may then want to learn how to handle that car an after do a swap although im still between the s2k and tha 350z wat do you people think :bigthumbu

Get the 350Z. The amount of work that you need to put into an S2k to drift it is ridiculous. That and the motor easy to drift with anyways.

gut the shit out of it....coils and a 2 way...bolt ons and an rx7 rack

I love my s2000! Change the rack like Manny said. Good to go. Supercharge and you are golden!

the z is a whole different feeling man. Get the Z. i love mine its f$&% amazing. The powers their all thats needed is an aftermarket lsd, suspension and wider tires.

350 all the way i drifted my firends a few times and the car pulls like crazy. i wish i could afford one.

I plan to get a s2k this year for the fact is made to grip on the track (non drifter). 350z basically is drift spec from the factory. If my plans fail for a s2k I'll just settle for a e46 330Ci/iC just cuz natariix is hot.

And then you only have to deal with the motor that makes power only above.... what.... 6-7k rpms?

I mean... I'm not saying it's not a great car... on a time attack I'd take one any day. But so many things work against it in drifting.

Well the transmission was designed to keep the engine in the powerband if shifted correctly. I don't see the peaky nature of the engine as much of an isssue. For me its more about the weak drivetrain components and steering jazz. I'd agree in the end and say a 350z would be better suited for a drifter unless you got time and skillz to alter the s2k.

yea thats true i love both the s2k and 350z but s2k is more for track and 350z for drifting no offense for z4k even though ive seen that rs-r s2k and that is a monster and 350z are beasts/monsters lovem both

350z...they drift them selves.... i have a blast everytime i drift my friends G35.... suspension isnt that expensive and you have nice wheel options...s2k's have that wack offset issue that a +45 looks flush lol...

350z can take a nice beating just maintain it and with suspension you should be to do wonders...

shit i am even considering getting a 350z for a daily/drifter idea.

Read into the RS-R S2000 to find out what has been done for that car to drift.

TonyMac hits the nail on the head... I was just too lazy to further explain that the motor is not a great candidate because not every drifter can keep the car oversteering AND in the higher RPMs where the motor makes power. Most of the grassroots drifting happens in the mid-range of the RPMs.

It really comes down to personal preference. There scale deffinatly leans towards the 350z no doubt about that. More torque for sure. I haven't put much. If anytime sliding my s2000. The power is deffinatly there at the right RPM range tho.

zak what year is yours? In andys you couldn't turn off the traction control so it made him spin alot.
