fuel isuese need help

im having a prob with my car it wont start when i just get in and crank it but when i unplug the fuel pump and crank it . it starts but i have to connect the flue pump fast before it shuts off after i do that it fun fine with no prob im stump t is it the fuel pump or what can anyone help

Well the only way that trick would work is if your engine is flooding, Or your ignition system is weak, maybe your timing is way off.
Won't start=pump on/ Will start=pump off
I would listen to Tee why S13 and check fuel pressure and while your at your regulator.
If you can't do this try crank it over, if it doesn't start pull a spark plug see what you find. Or before you do that see if your getting spark.
