Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you about an annual car show they have at my old high school, Everglades High School, located south of Miramar Parkway and 172st, West off I-75.

Location: Everglades High School (17100 SW 48 COURT. MIRAMAR, FLORIDA 33027) School Bus Loop

Date: Friday, March 7, 2008

Time: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Voting starts at 6:30 p.m. All who wish take part, please be there well before that time.

Directions from Miramar Pkwy and i75, Westbound:
1. Head west on Miramar Pkwy toward SW 160th Ave/Dykes Rd, ~1.5 mi, ~3 mins
2. Turn left at SW 172nd Ave, ~0.5 mi, ~2 mins
3. Turn left at SW 48th Ct/Bass Creek Rd, ~0.3 mi

This is a great event, I was the event coordinator for 04-05, and 05-06 years. Great variety and range of participants, from Evos to Lamborghini and Supras to WRX STis. Theres always a great turn out of spectators. It is also great place to meet local tuners, for there are more Tuner cars then Show cars that show up.

-Food and Drinks will be sold at the event.

-Performances by Everglades High School students

Car Show Categories:
Best in Show 1st place
Best in Show 2nd place
Best in Show 3rd place
Best Import
Best Domestic
Best Sound System
Best Interior
Trophies are awarded for each category winner! Cash prizes will also be awarded to Best in Show 1st, 2nd, and 3rd!

Tickets: (at gate)
Car registration and Single Driver entry ticket: $6
Single spectator ticket: $3
(Pre-sale ticket prices are exclusively available to E.H.S. students)
All proceeds from this event will be donated to American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.

Security will be provided by the Miramar Police Department

If you plan or are thinking about attending, please reply to this thread so we have a numerical idea of spectators and participants. This event has been posted in the regional forums of many other car enthusiast websites, so we hope a large turnout.

HAHHAHAHAH ...ooo the old days...showed up in my black s13 back in the days....slid the turns where the school bus's usually go and then the turn leaving....administrators were mad.....lol.....that was when i still went there lol...daaaaamn.....people go to this meet.....ITS RIgHT BEHIND MY HOUSE
 
Almost won a trophy there with my EG hatch but lost it to a bone stock 350z, LOL! People should show up, chill, smoke a bleezy, you know the deal!

sweet, seems like the drifters getting together, if you guys come early enough, you can get a few drifting laps around the bus loop. jp >.>

i forgot to mention the car show is sponsored and ran by students in the school's Key Club, if you guys don't know, that is a popular club within high schools which is committed to community service.
in previous years, it was sponsored by the asian club. LOL. but since i graduated, thats long been gone

Ahh Everglades the good old days i remember the first car show. stock 350Z won best import, for anyone who was there i owned that crappy yellow EG hatch with the donuts in the front :bigthumbu. count me in on this meet, ill be the one with a black S14 with red strips.
